چکیده
The Co4CatTM process is a simple, surfactant-free method to produce colloidal dispersions of precious metal nanoparticles in alkaline mono-alcohols. synthesis performed low-boiling-point solvents and relevant for industrial production. robustness the demonstrated by using three different commercial spirits as obtain Pt nanoparticles. results demonstrate that careful control solvent purity not needed achieve stable 2 nm platinum nanoparticle colloids readily active electrocatalysts energy conversion reactions like methanol oxidation.

Surfactant-free preparation of supported cubic platinum nanoparticles.
A novel method has been developed for preparing supported cubic platinum nanoparticles. Carbon monoxide and hydrogen are used to reduce platinum precursors present at a solid-gas interface and to control the shape of the growing Pt nanoparticles. By avoiding the use of any organic agents in the synthesis, cubic Pt particles free of hydrocarbons are formed, thereby avoiding possible contaminatio...
متن کاملAmmonia-mediated Method for One-step and Surfactant-free Synthesis of Magnetite Nanoparticles
Magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles have been successfully prepared by a novel one-step and surfactant-free approach utilizing ferrous ion, as a single iron source. In this manner, the reaction occurs between two aqueous solutions via the spontaneous transfer of ammonia gas from one to another in room temperature. No ferric source or oxidizing specie, oxidation controlling and capping agents are ne...
متن کاملSurfactant-free solution synthesis of fluorescent platinum subnanoclusters.
We have demonstrated the first surfactant-free synthesis of fluorescent Pt nanoclusters in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solution. The Pt nanoclusters consist of 4 to 6 Pt atoms. They form highly stable dispersions in water, under both acidic (pH 2) and basic conditions (pH 12), and at ionic strengths of 1 M NaCl.
